The Pearl

The Pearl, previously known as Potomac View, was purchased in the winter of 2025 by the Robbins family. We carefully modernized the home for comfort, while preserving its historical charm. Highlights: - Expansive wraparound porch with direct waterfront views of the Potomac River. This provides a scenic and relaxing space for guests to enjoy sunsets, sunrises, coffee, meals or drinks. - Guests can enjoy the unique character of a historic home without sacrificing modern comforts. 2025 updates included new appliances, HVAC, dining table for 10, furniture, kitchen flooring, lighting, eat-in kitchen island and kids nook. In addition, an interior wall was removed and a sliding glass door added to create an open kitchen/living/porch area with views of the river. - Prime walkable location just 3-4 blocks from the beach. Guests can easily explore the town, enjoy the beach, and access shops and restaurants without needing to drive. - A well-stocked kitchen with induction range, convection oven, air fryer, Cuisinart Multi-Clad Pro pots and pans, ice maker, Ninja blender, toaster, Nespresso, Keurig, tea kettle, water filter, garbage disposal, wine fridge, dishwasher and Chicago cutlery. - Family and dog friendly. We love both! Please only bring well-behaved potty trained dogs as the floor coverings are original heart of pine hardwoods, carpet and oriental rugs. A nominal pet fee of $15 per day, per pet, is included in the pricing when you include your pets on the reservation. - Friend groups are welcome but please do not rent our home for rowdy gatherings. It is a historic home in a residential neighborhood. Please include all overnight guests on your reservation and message us if you anticipate daytime visitors (which we are generally cool with!). - Outdoor amenities include bikes, croquet, horseshoes, seasonal outdoor shower and cornhole boards. - Strong WIFI with 1GB high speed internet service through a premium Netgear Nighthawk router The Spaces: - Wraparound porch with several seating areas featuring gliders and Adirondack chairs - Outdoor cast-aluminum dining table with comfortable teak chairs - A well stocked kitchen with everything you need for family meals or entertaining and new appliances and new cookware. - Laundry room with washer, dryer and wash basin. - A dining table for 10 with a crystal chandelier and China available for guests. - An open living room with a Samsung Frame 4k QLED smart television and comfortable seating for guests. A new sliding glass door provides spectacular views of the river. - A parlor room with an additional Samsung Frame 4k QLED smart tv, a table for games or puzzles and swivel chairs to enjoy the waterfront view. - A kids nook curated by our daughter with books, crafts and toys. - Four inviting bedrooms: a king with a sleepnumber twin, a queen, a queen, and a room with both a full bed and two twin beds. - Two and a half updated bathrooms, including a modern shower upstairs and downstairs and a powder room in the dining room. Please note, there is no bathtub.
